New addition to the milling shop

In May 2022 a CORREA XPERTA 25 was added to the KARL HUGO machine portfolio.

The new mobile bed milling machine has a 2,500 stroke and an automatic milling head with 6,000 rpm. The table covers an area of 2,800 x 1,000 mm with a maximum load of 6,500 kg. Like all of the company’s most recent acquisitions, it is fully housed and is equipped with a state-of-the-art smoke filtration system to maintain optimal air quality. “It also comes with an automatic stand-by system that reduces energy consumption by 20%,” explains Stephan Hugo, CEO - Technical Director.

The CORREA XPERTA 25 is equipped with a 40-piece tool changer and, like the other KARL HUGO milling machines, a HEIDENHAIN TNC 640 digital control. “This machine is used exclusively for apprentices and new recruits,” adds the Technical Director. “They begin their training on this machine which allows them to learn to machine smaller parts, before continuing their training on more complex machines.”
