In January 2025, mountain biker Arne Janssens has taken a decisive turn in his athletic career by creating his own, independent team. Driven by strong values, the project is supported by KARL HUGO.

One vision, one team
Thanks to KARL HUGO’s support, Arne was able to build a solid and attractive project that brought together other partners who share the same values. The official launch of the team, held in the presence of local economic and institutional players, was a key moment. For the rider, it represented not only recognition but also a commitment: “The commitment to wear a jersey every day that I’m proud of, where each logo reflects a genuine relationship built on trust.”
A promising start to the season
On the sporting side, the young cyclist quickly proved worthy of the support. He began his season with a training camp in Spain, followed by a promising stage race. On the first day, he climbed to the second step of the podium. He then went on to win the time trial and secured a strong 4th place overall. A few days later, he finished 5th at a high-level C1 race in La Nucia. In early March, he took part in the legendary Cape Epic in South Africa - a grueling eight-day duo race considered the toughest mountain bike race in the world. “We made it to the end of this incredible adventure,” he says. A feat that stands for resilience, solidarity, and unbreakable mental strength.
Things became more challenging afterward. A virus he contracted upon returning home slowed his momentum. However, Arne continued training with discipline and gradually returned to competition. He is now preparing for his key mid-season goal: the World Cup in Leogang, Austria. A strong performance there could earn him a spot at the European Championships. “I’m starting from far down the world rankings, but I’m ready to give everything to prove I belong among the best.”
Beyond the competitive aspect, the collaboration with KARL HUGO is a human adventure focused on sharing and inspiring the next generation.
