Three days in Oslo, meaningful discussions and valuable new connections: as part of the State Visit of the King and Queen of the Belgians, KARL HUGO joined the official economic delegation in Norway.
State Visit with a high-level delegation
During the State Visit of His Majesty King Philippe and Her Majesty Queen Mathilde to Norway (24–26 March 2026), KARL HUGO, represented by CEO Bernd Hugo, was part of the Belgian economic delegation. Around 35 leading Belgian companies joined the mission, alongside political decision-makers, academic institutions and high-level representatives from industry and business.
Participants included Minister of Foreign Affairs Maxime Prévot, Minister of Defence Theo Francken, as well as all Minister-Presidents of the Belgian regions, including Oliver Paasch.
New connections in strategic future-oriented sectors
Over the course of three intensive days in Oslo, we had the opportunity to present KARL HUGO to potential clients and partners in key future-oriented sectors such as nuclear, energy, defence and life sciences. The mission aimed to strengthen existing relationships and to build new partnerships in the context of industrial transformation and sustainable technologies.
The official program included a high-level forum on “Industrial Green Transition”, economic briefings on Norway and targeted B2B networking sessions with international companies.
A particular highlight was the “Return Event” at the National Museum of Norway on 25 March – an exclusive evening that enabled valuable exchanges in a unique setting.
International perspectives for the future
For KARL HUGO, participating in this mission was a valuable opportunity to further strengthen our international positioning and to generate new momentum for future projects. Direct exchanges with leading Belgian and international companies in the fields of energy, infrastructure and defence underline the strategic importance of this mission.
We would like to sincerely thank the organizers for the invitation and the excellent organization of this visit. Being part of the State delegation was an inspiring experience, and we look forward to further strengthening our international activities.
