KARL HUGO at the World Nuclear Exhibition

From November 4 to 6, 2025, KARL HUGO participated in the WNE, the largest international event dedicated to the civil nuclear industry, held in Villepinte, near Paris. The event brought together more than 25,000 professionals and 850 exhibitors from around the world.

Organized every two years, this exhibition brings together the key players in nuclear energy: industrial companies, researchers, technology suppliers, policymakers, and research centers. It also extends to nuclear medicine, a rapidly growing field. “As a must-attend event for the civil nuclear sector, the WNE gives us the opportunity to enhance our visibility and play a proactive role in the (re)deployment of clean technology,” says Bernd Hugo - CEO and Chief Financial Officer.

Recognized expertise

For nearly three decades, KARL HUGO has been designing and manufacturing tooling and mechanical assemblies for the maintenance and servicing of nuclear power plants in Belgium, Germany, and France. KARL HUGO’s teams apply their technical expertise to support major groups such as Engie, Westinghouse, and Equans. They develop and produce tools and solutions that allow clients to operate safely within reactors. “From engineering to documentation, and from manufacturing to commissioning, our expertise covers the entire process,” explains David Scholzen - Project Engineer. “It meets the high standards of the nuclear sector, where quality and traceability are essential.”

An international positioning

KARL HUGO’s presence at the World Nuclear Exhibition reflects its growth strategy and ambition to strengthen its international approach. The nuclear sector, whether for energy or medical applications, is experiencing a revival with major projects such as plant maintenance and decommissioning, new reactors, and small modular reactors (SMRs). “The prospects for the coming years are substantial,” adds the CEO.

By joining the Belgian Pavilion, under the banner of Agoria and the Belgian Nuclear Forum, KARL HUGO was able not only to present itself to an international audience, engage with global actors, and develop new partnerships, but also to build connections with other members of the Belgian delegation,” explains the Project Engineer. Whether with potential clients, technical partners, or major contractors, these exchanges represent a strategic lever to strengthen the company’s position in the global market.

Participating in the WNE allowed us to contribute to discussions on the future of nuclear energy and to demonstrate our commitment to providing reliable and sustainable solutions in support of the global energy transition,” concludes the CEO.
